Hendela System Releases SCANALYZER Version 3.0
Lyndhurst, NJ:
Hendela System Consultants today announced the
release of
Version 3.0 of its SCANALYZER YEAR 2000 SOLUTION software which helps
users to deal
with Year 2000 problems in a straight forward manner, quickly
locating and correcting most of
the critical Year 2000 computer codes that need updating, whether on a
mainframe, LAN, or at a
workstation exporting text files to Windows 3.1x/95 PCs or Windows NT
Workstations.
Version 3.0, which replaces Version 2.50 released last August,
features faster setup,
improved error handling, and a more accurate scanning method. The new
version provides users
the ability to export all results to either Text or Excel formats; a
utilities/reset scan error log to
reset systems after training before beginning actual production work,
and key sort index for
Results tables after the upgrade is installed.
Company president and founder Arthur Hendela, noting that the Year
2000 problem "is more
widespread than most people think," said "the SCANALYZER 3.0 software
is made
to help find and correct Y2K problems, regardless of the program
that's being used or
the size of a company."
The Y2K problem, he said stems from the 1970's when software
developers,
attempting to save money, chose to use the last two digits of the
year instead of all four but
failed to realize that at the turn of the century computers will
interpret the last two digits in the
year 2000 to mean1900.and automatically shutdown creating chaos in
such operations as billing,
scheduling and maintenance.

SCANALYZER 3.0,
and team member Jeff Miller, said the SCANALYZER system "frees up
valuable resources, provides a quick search method to see where the
problems,
and speeds up the project communications process. to correct them."
